Dane Trail

NOTICE POSTED 4/10/10
DANE TRAIL HAS BEEN REPAIRED
The Dane Trail has been repaired and is now open for riding and biking.

More gravel will be needed and will be applied when the adjoining field is dry this summer. Many, many thanks to the guys and gals that showed up with rakes, shovels and hoes to manually clean out the culvert, rake leaves away from the trench and repair the lost gravel area: Joyce Smith, Helle Goodrich, Terese Peko, Ed & Kim DiPietro, Richard Barbalato, Bissy Tolman and Evelyn Miller. Many hands make quick work!   Also many thanks to the Makowiecki family of New Boston for cleaning and maintaining this area every fall. Good work by all for one of our most important "Link" trails.

Remember to stay on the high side of the field, on the trail, when entering or leaving the Dane Trail area.

The Dane Trail located between Pine Rd and Clark Hill Rd  in New Boston is open year round for hiking.  The trail is closed to horseback riding and biking when snow covered in winter.  This restriction--at the owners' request--is to allow a smooth trail for skiing and snowshoeing.
Please stay on the high side of the hayfield
on the track.

DO NOT RIDE ON THE HAYFIELD.

Please tell your friends who use this trail and are not members of P.A.T.  to please respect this private property.   This trail is not a public way.   It is open by permission only.

The Dane Trail Betterment Project was completed in 2007.  P.A.T. was awarded a grant from the Bureau of  Trails in Concord to repair this trail.  Repairs were made to install a culvert, waterbars and gravel.
