Projects
Projects are selected on their value to the community as a whole, on their sustainability and on the prospects for a successful completion.
P. A. T. members may submit major projects for consideration to the BOD or request help with minor projects in their own neighborhoods.
Depending on the costs involved, funding may be sought from State or Federal Agencies.
As an alternative, P. A. T. may choose to donate funds to other organizations involved in a compatible project.
Current Projects
- KINGSBURY HILL LAND CONSERVATION
PROJECT
P. A. T. is currently involved in working with the New England Forestry Foundation and the Russell Foundation and the Kingsbury Hill owners to place the entire farm in conservation, excluding the buildings and enough land to build more barns, before it is sold to a buyer interested in keeping the land for horses and/or farming.
This effort, if successful, will result in the preservation of open land, forests and a trail system with access to many more miles of trails in the area.
Kingsbury Hill Mounted Benefit
P. A. T. is sponsoring a Mounted Benefit Event to raise funds for this effort.
